Griffiths is held in a Hannibal Lecter-style segregation cell with a reinforced Perspex door.
He is desperate to move back among the general prison population, but jail chiefs are refusing because he has already made FOUR failed suicide bids and they need to keep him under 24-hour watch.
The cell is virtually empty apart from his bed to prevent him hiding anything he could use to harm himself.
He recently swallowed four radio batteries to protest against his constant monitoring and prove it did not work. He refused medical attention and went on hunger strike.
Griffiths was jailed for the rest of his life after he admitted murdering prostitutes Suzanne Blamires, 36, Shelley Armitage, 31 and Susan Rushworth, 43. Leeds Crown Court heard he dismembered them at his flat in Bradford and ate some of their body parts.
