A man suspected of spraying graffiti on a rail tunnel underpass died after being hit by a train at Lewisham train station overnight.
About 9.35pm yesterday police were called to Lewisham station following reports a train driver had hit something. A search of the train lines found a man, 18, dead in the tunnel of the West St overpass.
It is believed the man may have been painting graffiti the inside of the tunnel with friends when he was hit by the train. Four men presented to Glebe police station to report the incident later on Wednesday night and have been spoken to by detectives investigating the death.
